SEEKING
Band to Join, Drums, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Vocalist.ABOUT
Seasoned guitar player, musician, composer, band leader, and guitar instructor looking forward to meet -initially- a bass player and a drummer to form an all original project heavily influenced by prog rock, hard rock, jazz/rock-fusion, and funk elements but not limited to. Must be able to feel at home playing in odd time signatures. Also looking for a vocalist/lyricist and another guitar player to switch rhythm/lead roles. Should be able to rehearse at least twice a week... music is fun but sorta difficult! Just please... no strong egos around and no heavy substance abusers.
P.S.1: The uploaded music has nothing to do with the songs/concept I have in the can for this project, but would give you an idea of my playing and musicianship level. Make sure to check a few of them as they are radically different from one another in style, time signatures, and instrumentation (all other instruments were recorded using guitar synthesizer).
P.S.2: Will start teaching guitar, music theory & composition again by the end of July 2010!
P.S.3: Would also like to join a working rock band (originals or covers) in need of a rhythm/lead guitar player who thinks n play out of the box, inventive and unconventional.

Twice Around
Twice Around Genre: Other
First song I recorded when I got my Taylor 614 CE Acoustic Guitar 3 years back. I also used the Axon AX 100 for all other synthesizer sounds.

Lies
Lies Genre: Other
This is an original recorded many years back in a Tascam 4 track tape recorder using the Roland Guitar Synthesizer Gr-33 for everything you hear. Initial time signature is 18/8 (or 9/4). Once again, so sorry for the MP3 awful sound.

The Moon, I Sing
The Moon, I Sing Genre: Other
This is another slow and dark prog rock tune I recorded a few years back. Multiple Guitar Synth layers over a steady 5/8 time signature and another example of my soloing using a distorted sound.

Better Days Ahead
Better Days Ahead Genre: Cover/Tribute
Another Pat Metheny tune. This one is a bright tempo samba/jazz kinda deal.

The Dance Of Maya
The Dance Of Maya Genre: Cover/Tribute
This is an arrangement (brass section during solo) I made yrs back of this slow and darkish classic fusion tune from Mahavishnu Orchestra circa 1972 in 10/8 time signature. Just to illustrate a crazy guitar solo over hard to play chord changes. Hate MP3 bright hissy sound transfer though :-(

This is a cover of an Allan Holdsworth tune... tough to play!
