I started singing 5 months ago for a musical I was involved in. A few weeks later I started taking weekly vocal lessons. I sing mostly show tunes a few Sinatra and Waylon Jennings songs. My voice is a baritone that reaches well into tenor territory. I began piano lessons a month ago to facilitate reading music. I started learning to play drums on my own nine months ago. I practice all three on a daily basis.

Influences
From a singing perspective, show tunes teach me more about singing than any other genre; Stars/Les Miserables, The Riddle, Falcon & The Dive and Into the Fire/The Scarlet Pimpernel, Anthem from Chess and Luck Be A Lady from Guys and Dolls. The two vocalists I admire the most are Frank Sinatra and Waylon Jennings. My musical influences range far and wide from avante garde jazz to melodic death metal, bluegrass, rock, alternative, punk... The show tune thing is new to me, but I love the bel canto style of singing.
EQUIPMENT
An incomplete drum kit (no crashes or cymbals) and a crappy, entry level Casio keyboard. I will be getting a Casio PX-780 or PX-860 digital keyboard soon.
