I have my own solo act but most of my experience has come from busking at Lake George and at Saratoga Springs, NY but all over the US. I average $15-$20 a hour, so it's been a nice part time job in the nice months. I'm a one man band but also incorporate a loop station and ipod backup tracks to add variety. Influences
There isn't much I don't derive some influence from. I'm a dead head and like those 60's - 70's jam bands that had lots of percussion like Allman Brothers, etc.
EQUIPMENT
I have a drum kit, percussion kit (Conga, Quinto, Djembe, Bongos). I have an ancient alto sax, a silver soprano flute, (a soprano sax that's not in great condition), a full set of diatonic harmonicas including some minor tunings. PA, portable PA (roland street) and other amps, microkorg synth and an 8 track alexis mixer, plus all the mics and stands for an entire band's needs.
