I am an extremely experienced bassist and singer, (also play drums and guitar as well). I am looking for a position in a working band. I attended the University of Miami School of Music, as well as the Berklee College of Music. I am well versed in rock, pop and jazz, have an excellent ear, can read chord charts, and am a fast learner. Familiar with Jazz Real Book.
I have played with many high level bands in nightclubs, events and wedding bands. i played many years in SIXPENSE, one of the most successful top 40/events band in DC area, playing many prestigious events. Was one of 3 lead vocalists (think Peter Cetera, Franki Valli, etc.) and strong background harmony. Also played guitar and drums. Was also front man and MC.
While I have not been as active in the last few years, I am eager to engage with a working band on a more active level. I believe I would be a strong asset for any band looking for a very professional team member who is a strong bass player and can contribute lead vocals and background vocals. Very strong harmony singer. Although I took a lead role in fronting prior bands, I am more than happy to play in the background on bass and vocals where helpful. Happy to be professional team player.
