I have played bass guitar in a few bands, and while it is the instrument I enjoy playing most, I like to try anything I can get my hands on. I play drums, guitar, and I have a Moog synthesizer that I mess around with quite a bit that is great for adding another layer into what I do. I also have a saxophone, trumpet, banjo, djembe, harmonica, etc.; I like to mess around with everything.
Typically my writing process consists of playing one instrument until I find something I like, then looping it, and playing something else over it to build layers. My stuff tends to be ambient, riff-driven, experimental hard rock. Looking for people to collaborate with who are okay with an outside the box approach to writing music. My weakest areas are vocals, and lead guitar (I like the rhythm side of things) so if you're good with any of those we could probably supplement each other well.
At this point I feel like if I could find a good drummer that wanted to commit, we could write a lot of interesting songs.
Not interested in covers, I want to write original music. Not really in a rush to play live shows either, I just want to write some good music that I'm proud of and that can possibly affect someone the way my favorite music affects me.
