ABOUT

I put the song "Can't You See" below as my audio demo because I'm singing lead vocals, playing bass guitar and playing lead guitar on the recording.

My name is Jack, I play lead guitar, bass guitar and sing lead and backup vocals. I’m looking for a band or an acoustic act to work with a couple weekends a month.

I’m 60 years old and have been doing gigs since I was 14. I’ve played in many bands, probably some I don’t even remember. I’d give you a list of the ones I can remember but none of them were famous so I’m sure you’d have never heard of them.

I have a web site, they won't let me paste the link on here but if you search for jackwdillard you should be able to find it.. It has an About page where I talk briefly about my background and influences, a Gear page that lists all my guitar and bass gear, a Calendar showing my schedule and upcoming performances, Audio recordings page, Videos page, pictures of some of my gear and a contact information page. The video page also has a link to my be channel. You can send me an email by clicking the link on my contact page or call me on the number that’s on my contact page.

I’ve played a variety of music thru the years, I played oldies when they weren’t, classic rock before it was classic, southern rock, 80’s metal, top 40, classic country, 1990’s and early 2000’s country, even a little disco. I’m not against playing anything except maybe Hip Hop but there’s no real guitar or real bass guitar in Hip Hop anyway.

I live in Elkton, MD and am willing to travel a reasonable distance for rehearsal, say 50 miles and further for gigs. One country band I played in, Detour, traveled pretty good distances for gigs but they were fun gigs. We played at the Cancun Cantinas in Hanover, MD and Hagerstown, MD, Nick’s Night Club in Alexandria, VA, we also used to do The State Fair of VA and some other fairs. We played an Apple Butter Festival somewhere in West Virginia once, that was a lot of fun.

You can send me an email by clicking the link on my contact page or call me on the number that’s on my contact page.
