ABOUT

I am a vocalist putting together a mostly blues, 50's/ 60's pop, and
soul cover group together. Love Chess and Stax. - especially Muddy
Waters, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, Otis Redding. Looking to explore
some stripped down Motown classics, some Rolling Stones, Sam Cooke,
Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Van Morrison, Doors, etc.

In search of a piano, a blues guitar, and a harmonica player.
Eventually, after a core group is in place, I am looking to ad a horn
section.

I have a drummer and bassist lined up to jam soon. I also have a
rehearsal space available with a p.a. System.

I am not looking to play the same stale covers that are always on
rotation - (mustang sally, purple haze, pride and joy, etc...). The
20 most famous blues hits are far from what I'm looking to put
together. I am mostly looking to play obscure blues with maybe a
motown classic, or a pop hit from back in the day to give the crowd
something familiar to connect with every now and again.

This is going to be something truly unique. Myself, I have an
absolute passion for music. I am looking to form a group that
understands what from the heart means when it comes to playing and
performing! I saw Ray Charles live a few years before he died and
will never forget the connection and raw emotion that he delivered at
almost 70 years old! The rhythm, heart, and soul during the
performance was unbelievable! The guy at times looked as if he was
having a seizure onstage as the music was moving through him. It was
awesome!

I have been playing music on and off for many years and am very confident in my abilities as a singer and performer. I have had a music shop for many years and have had the fortune of diving into
and forever expanding my musical schooling and palette. My influences
are the artists that have passed long ago. My favorite blues albums
of all time are: Muddy Waters - Folk Singer, Muddy Waters - Live at
Newport, John Lee Hooker - Live at the Cafe A Go Go, Etta James, and
the Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street.

Columbus – get ready for something big - stand up to get down!
