Jazz vocalist. I typically hire my band for gigs, piecemeal - who ever is available in the Jazz community for the gig date. I have lots of favorite artists to play with. But there is no synergy in this. We have a good time, good sold out gigs but I want a band identity where it's not just me with a band. Ideas, arrangements, and a synergy. Where we're all invested and want to discover & create something fresh. I do not want to hire each artist - let's play & practice together, come up with cool arrangements.
