We're an established band that has a great following and are asked to play gigs often all over the city. Our current bassist has to leave the band, unfortunately, due to work reasons. So, we're looking for the right fit, both musically and personality-wise. We're all pretty laid back guys that like to have a good time, take the band somewhat seriously but also aren't psycho about it nor looking to make it big. We all have careers and the band is our creative outlet and break from everyday life. We play mostly covers (our originals are typically hard rock/blues/funk/folk, most often with ridiculous/humorous lyrics) ranging all genres (rock and hard rock mostly, as well as blues, reggae, funk, pop and even some rap) from 1950's to today's Top 40. Whatever it takes to keep the crowd on their toes and partying ballz.
We're looking for someone that is talented, committed, and molds well with our crew. Here's what we're looking for from you:
1) You are between 25 and 35 years old and have been playing bass for many years. You're laid back and cool dude but organized and on the ball, easy to get along with and you like all kinds of music.
2) You must be a bass player thru and thru. We're not looking for a guitar or drum player that know how to play bass. We only want a bassist that plays bass like a bassist.
3) You need to have all the right equipment to play live shows at nicer venues (200 to 1,000 people).
4) We need you to commit to one practice per week and one gig every 30 to 45 days. Gigs are usually Fri or Sat night, and practices are usually 2 hours at night on Tues or Wed, or sometimes during the day on Sat or Sun. Looking for a team player that contributes. This isn't a band that takes a whole lotta work, but at the same time we all have to work together to keep things rolling, promote gigs, etc.
