Band to Join.

ABOUT

- I began playing piano and guitar at age 5, followed by formal (i.e., mandatory) music lessons. I became a frustrated protege and stopped lessons around 11, but continued playing all listed instruments (plus trumpet) in marching, jazz, and party bands. Took a break from serious playing for grad school and then professional and family life.

- I have considerable vocal experiences with perfect pitch much of the time; I can usually pick out and sing harmony vox.

- I comfortably read treble clef.

- I'm a professionally-minded, passionate, eclectic, dedicated musician interested in joining a dedicated group of musicians. I would like to play out, locally and/or regionally/nationally. I prefer covers, but open to originals given the nature and quality of the content.

- Having played out a good amount, song choice is a big deal to me ("Yes; you do a beautiful version of Please Come to Boston but we're at an outdoor summer festival with 1500 people..."). Likewise, high quality vocals are really important to me ("That 3-minute guitar solo and your high volume are impressive; but no one can hear what we're singing, or that harmony we worked on").

- I can seamlessly contribute to songwriting. I've written lyrics to about 30 songs and keep a small workbook of poems and lyric ideas. I share it sparingly.

- Music Samples: I have shared on this site 3 songs that I recorded with a Rolling Stones cover band, and 2 songs that I recorded with a country artist. These are high quality files and my bass work should be easily discernible.

- Other: I have done booking, socials, and have even created merch and websites for other bands I am in. I have contact information for venues and booking throughout the region. I'm really happy to help take these jobs on as part of my membership in the band.

- Particularly interested in collaborating with artists that share a growth mindset in terms of artistry, venues, and gigs.

EQUIPMENT

Les Paul Sunburst Bass; Three Fender PJ Basses; Taylor Acoustic, Hohner Harmonica, Piano, my voice. Also a trumpet that I totally recall fingerings on, but would have to get my lips back.

I can also play most songs by ear, when the song is learned or familiar to me.

Equipment also includes full in ears and wireless amplifier sets, as well as Fender 200 (for practice and travel) and 500 watt amplifiers.
