Looking for to form a synth-oriented 80s/90s rock project.

This is just the starting point to get us playing. I would eventually like to do originals. I am looking to do something experimental...Jam and come up with spontaneous music...Explore. Bring your influences and we'll bring ours and mix them all up.

Influences:

A long and eclectic list and not all influences musical. I listen(ed) to just about everything at some point. But the most important that have impressed me over the years I would say are these:

The melodic purity of Handel.

The dissonance of Stravinsky.

The improvisation and exploration in jazz music. Kieth Jarret would be one example.

The complexity of 70s progressive rock: early Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Emerson Lake and Palmer

The energy of late 70s-early 80s new-wave and punk: The Cars, The Cure, Missing Persons, The Police, Siouxsie and the Banshees.

The beats of 80s-90s synth pop : Eurythmics, Madonna, Howard Jones, Phil Collins

The space and ambiance in Electronic and New Age music such as Tangerine Dream, Clannad, Vangelis, Patrick O'Hearn, Kraftwerk
