ABOUT

Hey guys, my name is Terance. Bear with me, im just going to lay it all out there...

I am 22 years old. I started creating music freshman yr of high school at 14 through fruity loops. I created hiphop tracks primarily. I was always into the idea of a being a producer, like dr. luke, hit boy, diplo.... From there, i entered showcases to spread my sound around which was cool. My parents never were really on board with all this so I moved to New York in '14 for a studio internship and for growth. I got to make great connections and reconnect with my high school buddy that got me started in this whole thing. In Manhattan, I became exposed to professional studios as well as corportate/business setting too. after a year up there, I was able to open up my own studio setting, and record with locals and briefly get involved with throwing my own showcases too.

I decided to rethink my involvement in NY after being apart of some shady situations. It is not hard to be taken advantage in this music game, and I received alot of that there; but it is fine, because you have to go through that in order to get thicker skin and be able to represent yourself better! Sometimes its important to represent yourself as a business.

I never attended any school or lessons to do what i do now, all engineering, producing, and performance has been self taught. I've advanced myself by staying in connections with certain people and alot of game planning. Thats the only way to do it.

My perception of what it means to have a music career has grown so much since i was 14. I've learned so much during my last years in New York and am looking to apply that now. I have explored songwriting for the first time since last summer. That has been the toughest adjustment for me , but im enjoying it

As of spring 2016, I am in Massachusetts over the next three months but i will be traveling again soon enough. I attended Sxsw in March and i have my eyes set out West.

I've come on bandmix to connect with other music makers and see if we bond genuinely. There's no greater way communicating with someone else through music man. Looking forward to growing with you guys!

Lastly,
I've met alot of people who tell me they are 'after fame', 'after money', some people say they want to make 'music for living'. I've learned the outcome is all comes down to what you put in...for myself, i've given every last dollar i have to this; and i dont see it changing. Sometimes you have to keep working at your craft and wait for your time.
