ABOUT

I enjoy being the Jack-of-all-trades in the band, which means I'm flexible on the genre of music also. My solo stuff includes Classic rock-ish tunes as well as mellow acoustic vibes. Most accomplished with Guitar & Bass.

Influences

oh crap, really you want a LIst? ok...
When I began in the early '70s, (1974-ish, 12 yr old) I was more into Eagles & Southern Rock. I began sitting in with a Bluegrass band when i was first learning guitar & Mandolin. I picked up a love for the speed and complexity of acoustic instruments, and hence the variety of instruments I continually carry around and seek to acquire more.
Graduated High School 1980
I wanted to perform as America/Jimi Hendrix mix. LOL. I was even narcissistic enough to think i should perform Stairway to Heaven, in front of people... full band :) later 70s saw many new influences each year. AC/DC, Rush, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, etc... Early 80s was dominated with new Ozzy stuff, Blue Oyster cult. etc... Late 80s I was more solo, or looking around for new genre.
I really was into Grunge before there was a grunge. By the time Nirvana, Pearl Jam , soundgarden, etc.. began - I dug it, but I'd been doing much the same without success in rural Arkansas. LOL>
Nothing much happening except practice, and lack of practice at home through the 90s. Early 2000s, new passions arise. Started playing around more in Southern Rock/Country groups, and another Heavy Metal band just before. Trying to incorporate original material in each.
Move to Alaska 2006, teaching.
Lots of effort put into solo work and writing.
Teaming up with another Vocalist, and hoping to put something together
