CLASSICALLY TRAINED ROCK GUITARIST
I am a neo/classical guitar player who is looking for other musicians to work with or what might be even better, a band already formed and perhaps even signed to a label where I could contribute and fit in nicely to help their efforts. I received three years of formal training from G.I.T. graduate (Guitar Institute of Technology) and have completed two years of classical training (classical guitar) at San Joaquin Delta College. I feel that I am now ready to participate all the while I continue to be a diligent student of the art. I am comfortable in all capacities involving my instrument, including song writing and have a wide range of tastes and influences. I read notation and have a reasonable knowledge of theory. I wrote (copyright2008) and played all of the instruments (except the drum machine) on all available tracks. With the right musicians we can add percussion, lyrics and some bottom end provided by someone other than myself. If you think this applies to you, let me know.

Influences:

Randy Rhoads is my main influence, he incorporated much of his classical training into his rock/metal music which is why I have chosen the same path. I also love a lot of Ulrich Roth's music (older Scorpions) and Jimmy Page as well. I am influenced by many classical guitar players as well, David Russel, John Williams and Grey and Pearl just to name a few.

Equipment List:

UPDATE: I have just put together a new rig for gigging. Carvin DC-127 with active/passive electronics. Kramer Focus 1000 with Dimarzio and Duncan pickups. Ampeg VT-120, 3 channel 120watt all tube powered head. Randall RS125CX 2/12" x 1/15" Eminence Legend speaker cabinet. Boss ME-20 multi-effects unit geared for stage performance. Fostex FD-8 digital 8 track multi-tracker. Boss Dr. Rhythm drum machine. Classical nylon and of course a little crybaby.
