ABOUT

Hey there, Beatlemaniacs!

Do you love Ringo's beats? Can you "Twist and Shout" on the drums, giving life to the rhythm of the Fab Four? Can you imagine yourself in a "Yellow Submarine," steering the pulse of some of the most beloved songs in history? If you've answered "Yeah, yeah yeah!", then you might just be the drummer we're looking for.

We're The Beat 5 - a Beatles celebration band that is all about the MUSIC. We don't sport wigs or matching suits - we pour our hearts into every chord and lyric, replicating the sounds of John, Paul, George, and Ringo, not their looks. We've mastered the art of playing every tune, from the mellowest "Blackbird" to the raucous "Helter Skelter."

But alas! We're a lonely "band on the run" seeking our missing drumming ace. Here's where you come in.

Requirements:

- You should be able to drum to every Beatles song ever - whether it's the subtle brush strokes in "Norwegian Wood" or the energetic beats of "Can't Buy Me Love." We are looking for someone who not only knows how to play these songs but loves them as much as we do. Bonus points if you can "name that tune" in a single beat.

- Love for the Beatles - We aren't just musicians, we're die-hard Beatles fans. We analyze every song, every rhythm, every lyric. We want someone who can bring that same passion to the drums.

- Vocal chops are a plus - We don't expect you to be the next McCartney (but we won't complain if you are). If you can lend your voice to a harmony or two, that would be fantastic.

So, what do you get when you join The Beat 5?

Well, apart from the obvious thrill of playing some of the best songs ever written, you also get:

- A fun, vibrant, and inclusive band culture that welcomes you with open arms (and drumsticks). We're all here to celebrate the Beatles and have a great time doing it.

- The chance to perform in various venues and events, sharing the Beatles' legacy with other fans.

- The joy of being part of a group that doesn't just play the Beatles' music but lives and breathes it, bringing joy to our audience every time we step on stage.

So, if you're the kind of drummer who feels "free as a bird" when playing Beatles tunes and want to share the stage with like-minded musicians, we'd love to hear from you! Come together with us and let's rock and roll music, and help us keep the legacy of The Beatles alive, one song at a time.

Remember, "We Can Work It Out" and make the world a happier place with the Beatles' tunes. Can't wait to "Meet The Beatles" fan in you!

Reach out to us here or drop us a line. Let's come together, right now, and make beautiful music!

Peace, Love, and Rock 'n Roll,

Influences

At the risk of stating the obvious, our primary, brightest, and biggest influence is the Beatles. Their music shapes our sound, drives our performances, and fuels our passion. Each member of the Fab Four left an indelible imprint on us, teaching us the importance of melody, rhythm, harmony, and above all, heart.

- John Lennon: The poignant lyricism and emotive vocal delivery of John have taught us to express honesty and raw emotion in our music. His fearless experimentation continues to inspire us to push boundaries.

- Paul McCartney: Sir Paul's melodic genius and versatile musicianship are something we constantly strive to emulate. His knack for crafting memorable pop hooks is what we aim to replicate in our performances.

- George Harrison: The spiritual Beatle's songwriting depth and deft guitar work have heavily influenced our musical outlook. We strive to imbue our performances with the same level of soulfulness and musical subtlety.

- Ringo Starr: Last but not least, Ringo's unique, song-serving drumming style and feel-good energy is the beat that drives our rhythm section. His personality and charm remind us to keep our performances fun and engaging.

Outside of the Beatles, we draw influences from various other artists that shared the stage during the British Invasion, as well as those that followed. Bands like The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Kinks have all left a mark on our musical approach. Later artists who have been inspired by the Beatles, like ELO, Oasis, and even contemporary artists like Ed Sheeran, also color our musical palette.

Ultimately, our influences are a mosaic of great musicianship, with the Beatles' music as the central, unifying piece. We take their ethos to heart: to create music that resonates with people, transcends boundaries, and stands the test of time. Our goal is to bring that ethos to life every time we hit the stage.

Members Of Band

Members of The Beat 5:

Bernie (Guitar): With the nimbleness of Harrison and the flair of Lennon, Bernie is the band's melodic anchor. He can move from a gentle "Here Comes the Sun" fingerpicking to the screeching solo in "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with ease. He's just as comfortable channeling John's rhythm guitar as he is diving into George's intricate solos. His commitment to recreating the Beatles' sound is second to none.

Billy (Guitar): Billy is a wizard on the strings, bringing the rich tapestry of the Beatles' guitar work to life in each performance. His precise, nuanced playing adds depth and color to our sound, whether it's the beautiful chords in "Blackbird" or the rock 'n' roll energy of "Drive My Car." His passion for the Beatles shines through every note he plays.

Alan (Bass): A devoted fan of Paul McCartney's melodic bass lines, Alan lays down the grooves that drive our songs. His bass sings, growls, and everything in between, providing the rhythmic and harmonic foundation that makes our sound so rich and full. Whether it's the melodic journey of "Something" or the walking bassline in "I Saw Her Standing There," he's got it covered with grace and style.

Steve (Keys): Our keys maestro is our secret weapon, the invisible glue that binds our sound together. With his deft fingers and expansive knowledge of the Beatles' catalog, he adds the subtle touches that make our renditions feel authentic and vibrant. Whether it's the iconic piano in "Let It Be" or the whimsical mellotron in "Strawberry Fields Forever," he brings a touch of magic to every performance.

All four of us lend our voices to recreate the Beatles' signature harmonies. We're not just musicians but singers, each with a unique voice that adds a special flavor to our performances. From the close harmonies in "Because" to the rock 'n' roll shout of "Twist and Shout," we strive to cover every vocal nuance in the Beatles' discography. We believe the Beatles' music is as much about the voices as it is about the instruments, and we pour our hearts into every lyric we sing.

In The Beat 5, we don't just play the Beatles' songs; we live them. We're not just a band; we're a tribute, a celebration, a Beatles experience. And we can't wait to share that experience with you!
