That voice is a man with a vision and passion for radio. “It started out as a love,” Golomboski’s says, his desire to become part of radio dates back to his childhood. Robert fell in love with radio in the 70s, listening to top-40 hits on local Providence station JB105 and following the syndicated shows of Wolfman Jack, his idol. Since inception of The Iceman’s Top 40 New Country Artist Countdown hosted by syndicated personality ‘The Iceman’, a number of Artists that have been played or appeared on the chart early in their career have broke into the mainstream. Kane Brown, Chris Stapleton, Maddie & Tae, LoCash, Old Dominion, Lindsey Ell, Luke Combs, and Kelsea Ballerini are just a handful of Artists he advocated for before their big break. This has contributed to The Iceman successfully becoming one of the go to Radio personalities for the best up and coming New Country Music.
