ABOUT

30 y/o married guy with no kids and a bunch of guitars. I have played for 15 years, I'm no virtuoso but I am confident in my playing ability. Looking for a group of interesting people who are just out to make some good music and have a fun time. I am serious about my music, but I am also serious about my career and my family, so no touring...but I am willing to travel within reasonable driving distance from Columbia to gig, i.e. anywhere in SC and some of the closer border cities like Augusta, etc. Wife is very supportive of my musical aspirations, so no Yoko fears, gentlemen. I am willing to practice at least twice a week, more if I like hanging out, which will be a prerequisite of course. I work night shift, so scheduling practice is no problem at all unless you like to jam in the middle of the night. Side note: I don't mind jamming covers for fun or on the side to make some extra cash, but my intent is not to be in a cover band. I would like to find a few new friends who can help me to develop better songwriting skills and to grow as an artist. If you read that entire novel, you must be somewhat interested. Give me a shout, let's have a beer and talk some music, maybe jam and then see where it goes from there. At worst you'll make a new friend who can play the guitar and is very supportive of the local music scene!

I will record some video and some other examples of my playing for the other sections as soon as I have a little extra time.

Influences

Nirvana, Tool, Breaking Benjamin, Rage Against The Machine, Alice in Chains, Pantera, BLS, a perfect circle, Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd... come on dude, I'm a rock guitar player...this list could go on for hours.

EQUIPMENT

My main guitar is an epi les paul custom, but I am always buying, selling, or trading guitars. I have enough instruments, both electric and acoustic, to do whatever we want to do.

I'm not as deep in the the amp department right now as I've been in the past, but I do have a Line 6 half stack. Not the best but we can at least make some noise with it.
