Looking for Bass, Drums and possibly Guitar or Vocalist for Post Modern Alternative band. The players must have at least 5 to 10 years of musical experience. The music will be original and SONG oriented. The exact type of band would be one that matches the artistic nexus of those involved. I have a lot of songs that we can play. However, I'm not really looking for a band to play my songs. I'm looking for dedicated musicians who can invest the time necessary in developing a solid set list of around 10 songs and play them flawlessly as a start.
In my opinion..too many musicians start out by wanting to sound like a certain band in the belief that if they do, they will be successful. I don't agree with this position. I believe that writing material that is unique, well formed, and articulated is the key to developing an original sound.
If you are a female vocalist with experience who are into bands like Clairvoyant and Faith and the Muse that would be a plus. Especially if you have song ideas.
