We are three easy-going guys (40 to 50 year old range) that love to create and play classic-sounding Americana and power-pop flavored songs. We have had opportunity to release three CDs recorded at professional studios with a portfolio of nearly 35 original songs and more on the way. We have played at clubs in the DC, NoVa area, Baltimore, Philadelphia and NYC. We are looking to expand to playing gigs in Southern Va. and North Carolina.
Our success has been modest but it has been quite satisfying, and we feel the music we make is strong enough to perhaps take us to regional act level. We do not expect or plan to quit our day jobs; we do have a TON of fun playing and creating and enjoying the experience of music-making! We practice once a week in the basement of one of our members in Centreville, Va. Our practices have always proved to be creative, engaging, and most important FUN!
We're looking for a bassist that can step into our current arrangements and quickly pick up the current songs. Someone who can work with us on new songs and put their stamp on it. Someone who knows how to play without over-playing; who understands that every instrument has a place; a melodic player who knows that a strong rhythm section can really bring a song to life. Being able to sing harmony is a BIG plus.
We are not super-serious but we need a commitment to rehearse once a week, to support the release of new recordings, and to be available for potential shows, be they local or possibly even weekend jaunts of 2-3 shows away from town. Flexibility is always positive; we do our best to keep to a regular rehearsal schedule but sometimes life requires changes. We also need a great attitude and a desire to have FUN creating music!
