Looking for high tenor frontman for Classic 70/80's Rock to more Current material. Working with three tenor lead/harmony vocalists & multi-instrumentalists covering Bass, Keyboard, Drums and most other stringed instruments. The higher tenor rock/blues vocalist would open up the song list to a wider range of material and ease the load off the players and while playing an instrument is a plus, it is not a must. Also possible originals and love jamming for the fun of it.
BACKGROUND:
Played in traveling bands till 25 before focusing on degree and career. Now EARLY RETIRED and have an instrument in my hands 50% of waking hours. Enjoy playing either Acoustic or Electric. Vocal abilities cover the mid-tenor range (up to G 1st string break point into falsetto) very well, but, ideally teaming up with a high tenor would cover a broader range of material. I blend well when working with another guitarist. Quick to compose material and would do well working with a good lyricist. I'm a social drinker and non-smoker. I do not use drugs and have a passion for good music of any genre.
The following is what I play:
GUITAR: Classic Rock, Blues, Acoustic (play in all tunings), Not much Interest in 50/60's
some Country: (just the most popular stuff).
some Jazz,: (Fusion & Modal, still working on Bebop).
MANDOLIN : know all chords & can improvise, little bit of Bluegrass mainly good at creating parts.
BASS : mainly with pick, some finger style, and some slap & pop.
DOBRO, BANJO : decent technique, can learn parts as required.
PEDDLE STEEL : currently learning.
SITAR, OUD, HAMMER DULCIMER: noodle around & create
Know Music Theory very well but not the fastest sight reader.
Can cover all styles with exception of classical and flamenco.
Can improvise and create head arrangement for parts on the fly.
Know to stay animated during performance keeping audience engaged.
