I am the band leader/pianist/keys for a jazz fusion and traditional jazz band called M-Class. I am presently searching for a good mid-level to semi-pro level electric or acoustic bassist and a good mid-level to semi-pro guitarist interested in joining the band. We perform a number of original compositions/tunes that border on the jazz fusion genre. Probably the world of Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Jeff Lorber, George Duke etc... are close to the style of music being aimed for. Ability to read chord charts and/or lead sheets to learn the music is essential. The goal is to complete a recording session as well as perform at available live music gigs in the Maryland, DC and Virginia area (or other venues). Being able to rehearse at least bi-weekly or 2-3 times a month (as needed) is also very important band band growth and cohesion.
