ABOUT

I played keyboards and bass about 30 years ago. I used to jam with other musicians for fun. Many were gigging in the San Diego clubs. I also played music briefly with blues musicians in Denver, Co. with the intention of playing local clubs in the Denver area. Life changed quickly, which led me to move to New Mexico. Since moving about 23 years ago, I haven't played anything and even gave my beautiful 5-string Yamaha to a friend. This past year, I picked up an Ibanez bass at the prompting of a friend who was learning guitar. My friend bolted but I am trying to maintain interest. What interferes with consistency is a job that requires unknown hours from one day to the next. Since picking up the first bass last year, I then picked up two more vintage Ibanez basses and two small travel amps. I spent most of last year traveling for work, the reason for small travel amps. I am now staying in Abq, and seeking people who want to have fun playing. I want to hone my skills and get to a comfortable level of achievement with the intention of the occasional show. Previously years ago, I started playing bass when gifted a P-Bass from a professional guitarist/writer ex-boyfriend. I had a network of pro musicians who encouraged my development. Now I am starting over on my own using skillsuccess for relearning technique and playing along with favorite musicians on be.

Bass styles used in bands starting with Mike Inez with Alice In Chains, some Courtney Love, Talking Heads, some Rolling Stones, Patti Smith, Patricia Morrison from Sisters Of Mercy, Cult, Slightly Stoopid, Groundation, Black Country Communion, my original influences, most of the old blues players, and I could go on. EQUIPMENT

Small travel amps., a Kona and a Peevy, two 4 string Ibanez's with different sounding pickups, 5-string Ibanez with a Humbucking pickup, an overdrive pedal and a bass graphic equalizer pedal, (I love pedals and plan to add more as I find deals). I intend to upgrade my amps if and when the need arises. I also have an Alessis synth keyboard.
