ABOUT

In my early adolescent years attending elementary school in NYC, I would hear the marching drums echo through the halls whenever the school band was rehearsing, this rhythm would ntly latch onto my inner soul leaving me feeling elation and curiosity. The cadence of the drums would play over and over in my head as I was so deeply fascinated by it’s articulation and groove, my soul ntly bonded with it and this almost daily magical experience would send me on my journey to become a musician and share this rhythmic bliss with my friends, family, and the world.
I am 54 years of age with over 45 of those years playing drums for many artists locally and abroad. During my senior years in high school and beyond I played Quad Tenor drums for the Long Island Grenadiers Drum and Bugle Corps, this experience gave me the discipline and chops to develop physically and mentally as a drummer. After those Drum Corps years I started playing the NY music circuit on the drum kit and utilized my wisdom and experience that would help me evolve into becoming a professional musician.
I spent many years recording albums for groups and solo artists from North - South America and Europe such as Phil Naro, Unified Past, Gene Cornish, Colin Tench, Andy John Bradfords Oceans 5, Corvus Stone, John Orr Franklin. Many of these sessions gave me the privilege to play with incredible musicians like Rudy sarzo, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal and Billy Sheehan and others.

Local Long Island Bands – Solid 70’s NY, Strange Magic NY, Vavoom Rocks, Rusty Spur Band, Under The Covers, Honey for The Soul, Heartbreaker, Heartbreaker a Tribute to Linda Ronstadt.

I am a very versatile, solid, detailed drummer with many years of experience, I am a fast learner who is fully dedicated to any project or gig I am part of. My band mates ntly become friends and family to me as I have an easy going personality and easily conform to any situation.

Influences

As I studied and developed my own playing style through the years there has been many influential drummers that caught my interest. I was lucky to grow up in the 1970’s at a time when music was bridging from the rebelliousness of the 1960s to the happy post war trend as hard rock got harder, soft rock got softer, and artists frustrated with standard musical forms tossed them aside and started their own styles. It was like a smorgasbord of genre’s to come by. I studied the classic greats as Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa, the pop influences such as Hal Blaine and Carmine Appice, and of course hard hitters such as Peter Criss and John Bonham. Throughout the 1980’s to present I was heavily influenced by Neil Peart, Vinny Appice, Alan White, Phil Collins, Jeff Porcaro, and many others.
