Here's the deal: I'm trying to put together a horn oriented band that can play anything! It will be a tyrany until we get it together, then, it becomes a democracy! Anything you want! I have some musicians in mind but am looking for the real deal! Need; percussionist, 3 piece horn section (prefferably women, Freudian effect) guys are okay, too. Any other musicians who want to "cut it" that play anything worthwhile can apply, as well! I've been around and know what works, how to form a band. and what is needed in this area. I've played with some of my "influences" and have done everything from Ramada Inns to the Oakland Colliseum. Tired of all the wimpy stuff and drivel that I hear. Want to start something incredible? EQUIPMENT
Got guitars up the wazoo that are probably older than you or your friends or your friends' kids. Hell, I still have my Beatle Boots! Does that give you an Idea of where I'm at? Got a fairly decent PA and some good mikes (Shures, AKGs) Am using a Korg 01W/fd. I will be fronting and playing keys, guitar, percussion and some sax. Am not opposed to others taking my chair(s) but I WON'T LET YOU SOUND BAD, SO DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT IF YOU CAN'T DO IT! But, when I get done with you, you will be able to do ANYTHING! So be prepared to sing, as well. The reason for the horns and the percussionist is to expand the parameters of our capabilities and mind/soul. I'm a Taoist, so no republicans! I might even consider some back up singers if they can be useful to the team. Name of the band will either be CHOW FUT (means fried ass in Mandarin) or Los Dahnsing Weenehs (been to a drive in, lately?).
