Through 3 years of change, hard work, and growth, comes the new regime of WUP. A groovy yet powerful rhythm section backs a pair of well-layered melodic guitars, forming a unique style of old school meets new school rock.

With a completely revamped set list, it is easy to hear the eclectic array of influences ranging from rock, r&b, funk, pop, reggae, and even disco and metal.

The band plans to have the these songs recorded and released by summer, pending the addition of a new frontman/woman.

To us the name "Wake Up Paradise" means alot. It could mean waking up the world to find a "paradise" among all the stress and hardships most are faced with everyday, keeping the positivity up by all means necessary,or just putting a smile on. But musically, all the writing, planning, theory, technicality aside, it's about playing what feels good and what we think will make others feel good. Balls to the wall groovy rock that makes you forget about the worries of every day life and just get lost in the energy of the moment. That is our ultimate goal, and now more than ever we feel we've achieved that musically.

We aren't naive enough at this point to think that we are going to change every individuals ideals, morals, etc., however we all have gone through hardships, have very different political and religious beliefs, and some very different musical influences. Our message morally is that if we can make these differences work, extreme as they are at times and on a consistent basis, both musically and personally- then the rest of the world should be able to figure it out as well. Let's instill coexistance, respect, and fun back into the world. Let's all let the walls down and just enjoy the good vibes. Let's #wakeupparadise.
