I’ve been a lead singer in multiple, original rock groups since 2001. I haven’t played music with new musicians since my last band, Water Cure, stopped playing officially seven years ago. I recorded two original albums with my band, Counter Effect (24 songs), and another album with Water Cure (12 songs) and wrote another 15 at least with that group. I’ve written an albums worth of music on my acoustic guitar as well, but prefer to write vocal lines off other musicians and I miss writing and playing live music.
I can do covers and occasionally enjoy them, but they are not what I’m driven by. In the influences section, you’ll see Tool there, but in reality, it’s Maynard himself. We have identical vocal ranges and I’ve always appreciated his writing style.
