My primary focus is on creating/playing original music with others, I have, can and will do performance, but that''s not really what motivates me. "Hittin' the groove" with fellow musicians is what I'm mostly after. Looking for like minded musicians (bass, lead, drummer, and keyboardist) to get together on a weekly basis and play either mine or other's original tunes, or create original tunes on the fly.

Genre is less important for me than range of emotion. My favorite concerts of all time are the ones where, over the whole performance, the musicians take you on a ride that covers the entire range of our emotional landscape.

I've been playing with a bass player and drum machine a couple times a month for that last year or so. We're now looking to bring in a keyboard and/or lead guitarist that is similarly like minded and like skilled - novice to intermediate kind of level, looking for a band experience, not particularly gig oriented, really likes to create and be involved with things new.

Was a teenager 1974-1978. So pretty much anything with long, complex structure and/or long extended guitar solos. Have a 1 year older brother who is a jazz drummer, so jazz fusion too.

EQUIPMENT

I create in standard tuning on an acoustic Ovation Celebrity 6 string; in DADGAD tuning on a acoustic 6 string Great Divide; and in standard tuning on on a Stratocaster (rhythm, not lead; just really like the sound of Strat for chord strumming).
