ABOUT

We are a chamber orchestra meeting in North Denver on Saturday morning. Once a month we have a string quartet and we have a trio sonata group on Monday morning. We are not necessarily a performing orchestra, we are a group studying the history of music. This is a volunteer situation only. The purpose is to study and play the entire history of chamber music

Influences

We play a huge amount of the published music written between 1500 and 1800 with a mixture of period instrumentation and modern instruments. We generally play violin family instruments with baroque bows. We also have a string quartet orchestra group that studies mostly Mozart and Haydn quartets plus the more accessible 19th and 20th century quartets.

Members Of Band

We have violin family, gamba family, lute and historical guitar, harpischord, chamber organ, historical flutes, recorders. We are looking for an advanced-intermediate violinist who is interested in playing both first and second violin. A second violinist who would like to learn to play first violin is fine too.
