wanting to start or join a serious band with FEMALE vocals

I'm 30, in Springdale. I am a vocalist with a strong, melodic voice, and have 9+ years of proper training. I have live and recording experience.

I'm looking for male or female musicians (guitar, bass, drums), 20-40, who want to make a commitment to creating and recording original music and at some point play live, when ready. Not just getting together and jamming pointlessly or playing cover songs for people who aren't listening anyway.

My influences include: Sigur Ros, Bjork, The The, The Cure, Jane's Addiction, Joy Division, Radiohead, Portishead, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, PJ Harvey, Sonic Youth, Afghan Whigs, Siouxsie & the Banshees, R.E.M., the Smiths, Bauhaus, Dead Can Dance, Hole, Dinosaur Jr. Depeche Mode, and numerous other bands.

I want to collaborate to write songs. I tend to come up with a lot of parts on bass.

I believe less is more, meaning there's no need to show off while playing.

I do NOT want to play any type of metal, blues, classic rock, country, punk, emo, rap/funk/r&b/hiphop, or Christian.

I do NOT want to play anything that sounds like what's on commercial radio or mtv.
