Hello fellow musicians. My name is Josh Thornhill and I have recently moved to Bossier City for work in the Air Force. I am a singer/ songwriter looking for serious musicians who are interested in an opportunity to be a part of a brand new project title “St. Siloh”. I play acoustic guitar mostly and have written countless songs in multiple genres like Country, Contemporary Christian, Pop and I have recently been writing songs for new my Pop project under the artist’s name “St. Siloh.” First of all, and most importantly I hope to keep the family dynamic happy and healthy. This is the reason why I have decided to make the goal to start networking with enough musicians to be able to hire multiple (preferably 2) people per instrument. This would reduce gigging fatigue and would enable musicians to not have to sweat it at all if they can’t make a certain date. I would like to hire a Key/Piano, Bass, Lead Guitar, and the tightest funkiest drummer in the area. All who can contribute to backup vocals would be a major plus but not mandatory! I am welcoming any input for sound guys and/or other instrument ideas to make this the best professional live show we possibly can. These will be paid positions and I have some venues ready to book us! It’s gonna be fun!! I hope to build a family atmosphere that is conducive to building great musicians who can display their talent and creative ability in a way that they feel is best, all the while listening to each member’s personal goals for music and doing my best to help them achieve those dream and aspirations as well. Although I cannot promise a cut of the songwriters credits for this debut album, there will be an opportunity to possibly co-write for the sophomore album and get paid for songwriting credits as well if the songs written are strong enough to make the final cut. The goal of this project is to write and release original songs under “St. Siloh,” while building multiple sets for various venues with mostly original music but with a few tasteful covers like Twenty One Pilots “Ride”, Jimmie Allen’s “Best Shot”, Otis Redding’s “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” and tons more in our own style and sprinkle them throughout our live shows. We will also work on a set to play for worship settings in churches or wherever the we feel like the atmosphere is appropriate. I have written enough material to do this successfully, but I felt strongly that I needed to share my goal and give others the opportunity to join me in this venture. My hope is to start getting together one night a week as of now, in order to get this project prepared enough in the coming few months to start playing smaller shows and build from there. I have a small studio space for beginning rehearsal at my home. All rehearsals are on a schedule that works best for the upcoming gig and will be scheduled accordingly. I haven’t released any songs under “St. Siloh” yet, so I am excited to work with creative and talented people who want to have fun and make some good music! This could be a career opportunity if we do it right, but like in all things it is better to think big, but start small. I have been in the studio writing for this project and plan to release new songs very soon so if you think you could contribute in any way with even an inkling of your time or talent it be would be much appreciated and extremely welcomed.
