ABOUT

Professional musician with 30 years experience performing live and doing studio work. I am presently part of a trio "The Midnight Juliets" playing country, Americans, and bluegrass music. As a solo artist based in northern Idaho, I perform an acoustic blend of originals and covers at local venues. **Looking for a FEMALE BASS PLAYER** to start a new project soon in the country/blues/Americana vein.

I'm very easy-going, able to work will all different musical styles and personality types, and am happy to play (good) originals and share lead singing.q Music is a serious business for me and I expect it to be the same for anyone I play with.

I'm having a great time doing this for a living! (Can you say BEST JOB IN THE WORLD?!?) You can find me all over the web and social media by searching for Mel Dalton Music or The Midnight Juliets.

Influences

My musical taste is varied; I will sing Pat Benatar and AC/DC, then switch to Janis Joplin or Tanya Tucker, follow a Beatles tune with the Stones, and end with something by the Eagles or Tom Petty. I've been influenced by anything you have heard on the radio since 1950, including a lot of country.

Right now I favor Bonnie Raitt and Miranda Lambert but perhaps next week I'll be hooked on the Doors! I have a penchant for playing deep cuts and unknown artists, and sharing tidbits of musical history. People who hear me most often request my originals "The Key of H" and "Jackson Browne" or covers of "Forever and Ever Amen" and "Bobby McGee."
