ABOUT

Briefcase Blues is a large (10-piece) rock and blues band (complete with four horns), and has been essaying the performance of "Jake and Elwood" for over 35 years.

We now find ourselves needing a co-frontman to play blues harp as "Elwood" in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. It's a daunting task, mostly because the ideal musician needs to have the tall (6' - 6'2) and lanky build that Dan Aykroyd had in his first couple years as "Elwood". Blues harp experience is needed, even if it's only intermediate-level.

Based in Dallas Texas, the band has also appeared at special events and conventions from New York to Los Angeles so there is some travel involved, but almost always with considerable notice (sometimes scheduled several months in advance).

Each member owns his own instruments (too many to list here) - P.A. and lights are subject to local rental by the purchaser (when not supplied by the venue), including crew and operators.
