The Mountain Goats lead singer John Darnelle. John struggled with anything you can imagine. Drugs, alcohol, abuse, and ect. Name it and hes lived it. John has mastered the ability to write music about his hurts and passions and translate them into beautiful works of art.
A man from Greenville, Mississippi by the name of Ricky Smiley. Ricky was the man who taught me everything I know about music and songwriting and for over a year was my mentor while i attended Solomon Middle School. He passed away 3 weeks prior from composing this.
