Have been playing with a band known as DFTC (Drive Fast & Take Chances) for the past 5 years, but it seems to be winding down, so I'm looking for another band that isn't too intense.
I'd like to play out a bit more, even if just jamming or doing a few songs with another band. I can't turn it into a job, as I already have a demanding one!

Prefer blues based music, blues rock, but also like country and other types of music. Can sing some things. Like both Rhythm and lead. Like improvisational settings. Not crazy about memorizing songs and solos note-for-note, but will if it's required.
Gigging once or twice a month is doable - paid or unpaid, doesn't matter, not doing this for money - just love the music. I'm even ok with just doing some open mic blues or rock jams as a group.
No big ego here - just like to play as part of the band.

Influences
Everything from the Beatles to the Young Rascals to Pink Floyd, Clapton, Dead, Doobies, Neil Young, CCR - and lots of blues influences (Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, BB King, etc...)
I really like the Grateful Dead, and would be interested in doing some of their stuff.
The past two years we started doing some 90's music (Nirvana, STP, Pearl Jam). It's ok, I'll play it, don't love it...but the guys wanted to do do it.
