SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I am a 60 something years young enjoying having the time to play music on a daily basis. During my school days I was in the band, stage band, choir, city honors choir, Navy blue jackets choir. After Viet Nam I married found a job. Raised a family and didn't play any instruments for 4o years. These days I don't think I could stand one day without picking up the guitar. Trying real hard to make up for all those years of neglect. I just love being able to play daily. I am looking for others to play music from my generation with. Mainly just to jam and have a good time but I am willing to commit the time and energy to be able to play a few gigs if others would like to.

Influences
Main influences would be my teachers in high school and university. They taught me the basics. My high school vocal teacher taught Diana ross one year ahead of me. She threatened to kick her out of choir for coming in late after giging at night. of course that was before Diana became famous. She also encouraged me to try out for a scholarship at Oakland university Meadowbrook school of music. I won the scholarship and attended Meadowbrook for one semester before being reclassified 1-A and going off to Viet -Nam. I would say that Motown, early rock and folk were my other main influences.
