ABOUT

I've been playing the guitar for near 7 years at this juncture. I was
initially just a lead player, until I was thrust into a lead singing position
close to four years ago. Since then, I've been playing rhythm guitar,
including a travis picking style to match my flat picking, as well a singing
and playing lead. I've also picked up some skill with a bass over time, and
can play in a pinch if need be. I'm also a songwriter, having acrued near or
over thirty original pieces ranging different styles and genres. What I'm
interested in accomplishing is a group dedicated to a simple yet powerful
sound, incorporating all of the best that rock and roll has to offer, creating a simp
something new and fresh with all of the ingredients that we love.

Influences

I was originally into hard rock and metal, with my influences being Ozzy
Osbourne, Black Label Society, Shadows Fall, etc. However, as my playing
matured and progressed, I began to emerse myself into other styles, including, Bob
Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, The Smithereens, Allman Brothers, Dire Straits, etc.
I enjoy employing fingerpicking for a base guitar backing, with a simple
tasteful lead on top. This makes me optimal for blues, southern rock, country,
some jazz, funk, etc. I'm also capable of playing a heavier style as well
though I prefer the latter. Some of my originals and former covers have a
harder edge, but I'm only interested in a heavier project that offers clarity, and
and melody. In other words, sans the screaming.

EQUIPMENT

I currently play a Gibson Les Paul Standard through a Marshall Mode Four with a Peav
a Peavey 5150 original cab. I don't use any effects, though I have in my
possesion a distortion modeler, a crybaby, as well as a Washburn dime with the Sakk
Zakk Wylde Emg 81/86 pickup configuration. I also have a monitor, a randall
100 watt head, and a peavey 120 supreme. I have a Takamine acoustic electric
for unplugged or quieter sessions, as well as a Hamer for some single coil
strat work.
