ABOUT

UPDATED 3/27/2023. I've played music since I was a kid, first on piano (my mother was a musician) then guitar. I was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in a band in my late teens and through my mid-20s. Then I stopped playing until my 40s when I started back with guitar (both acoustic and electric), then a few years ago back on keyboards (piano and organ). I have both guitars and keyboards and mics. I also play the flute, which I played in HS and through college. The band I have been playing with for the last year and a half is on (permanent?) hiatus. We played a variety of stuff from the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and a smattering of newer material ranging from country to classic rock and soul. I'm pretty open to the type of music, although there are some things I dont really play (e.g., straight up country)

Influences

Big Beatles fan and love classic rock (Zeppelin - 3rd album acoustic stuff is great along with the classic harder stuff), blues, folk, country rock (Eagles and other stuff). But I also like Americana (Son Volt; Uncle Walt's Band, for those of you who remember them!). It's pretty eclectic: I'm open to almost anything. Looking for some interesting combinations of instruments sonically and some nice harmonies (I'm a baritone)

A couple of acoustic and electric guitars (Martin, Taylor, Fender, etc.); Studiologic digital piano and Roland VR-730 combo organ; amps and mics.

I've gigged probably 70-80 times in my life. For the year and half I played a gig about once a month. That's my preferred schedule
