ABOUT

Gigging drummer and keyboard player in active bands since the 70s, covering many music styles from r&b, funk, jazz, rock, and more.

Focus for past 10 years has been on keyboards with several bands in bayarea (been playing keys and drums since an early age). Currently not looking for drumming gigs, but will play the occasional situation. Background includes a wide range of music styles with strong, steady (in the pocket) rhythmic sense, and creative chords/melodic lines that capture the energy of the music. I’m in this mostly for fun and enjoyment of collaborating with other musicians, but at a level that plays for audiences on a regular basis. I’m currently active with several bands (Shakedown, Dragonfly), and also available for gigging a couple times a month.

Influences

Multiple artists across many genres. Favorite drummer leans towards Vinnie Colaiuta. My inspiration mostly gravitates towards interesting rhythmic and strong keyboard/synth/organ tunes, but also not narrowed by styles of music, instruments, or artists. I listen and learn from everything that catches my attention.
