SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Bass Guitar, Drums.ABOUT
Rock & Roll with a bit of blues, a bit of camp, a bit of a burlesque beat here and there.
Seeking a female vocalist for a Glam(ish)/Britpop(ish)/Power Pop mostly originals band.
Mike Raaymakers- mraaymak at the gee maaaail.
I am a male/nb guitarist seeking a female vocalist who can write lyrics. I have a few completed songs written with a friend a while ago (the lyrics can be changed) that really should see the light of day. As with any guitarist, there are also riffs and song sketches laying about in various states of completion.
And, speaking of those, also looking for a bass player and drummer to collaborate with songwriting. I’m no Ray Davies over here.
Having said all that, I wouldn't be opposed to an Elastica-type deal with a singer/guitarist.

Influences
More like what I want to mix together than influences:
From the Glam angle, T Rex (of course), Sweet, Mott The Hoople, Nick Gilder, Mick Ronson-era Bowie, and 1974 Queen (things like See What A Fool I’ve been and Hey Big Spender), and Suede.
More current references would include The Struts, Starcrawler, Wolf Alice, Starbenders, and Thunderpussy.
As above, all of this with a bit of blues, a bit of camp, a bit of a burlesque beat here and there. This is speaking to music style with no intention of dressing up and pretending it’s an era that it isn’t. Not a nostalgia or cosplay thing.
Instrument experience:
- Lead Guitar:
- Moderate
