Ok. So.....technically I'm not really a keyboard player.

I have always considered myself a guitarist.....a drummer.....and a singer, but I have also always enjoyed dabbling. I have a Pro Tools studio at home and I have dabbled in lots of other instruments like keyboards, bass, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica, etc. for years.

Over the years I've gotten a lot better on piano and keys and even played keys and rhythm guitar in a band a few years back. I learned in that project that I was able to cover a lot more material on keyboards than I would have thought, and I enjoyed the challenge of learning new material and pushing my abilities to improve on the keys.

I've played in lots of other bands on guitar, drums, and vocals, and couldn't help but notice that there is always a severe shortage of really talented keyboard players with pro gear, who know how to use it and program quality sounds, and who aren't flaky, full of themselves, over committed, or overly eccentric. So I guess you could say I have come to see that as an opportunity.

I am currently playing guitar and singing in an all 80's cover band, which is my main focus, but I would be open to exploring the option of playing keys in fun side project as long as it was laid back, didn't require a huge investment in time, and with musicians who understand that I'm not a life long keyboard player.

If you're a working funk / dance / blues / or heavy piano ballad band and you need someone to jump in quickly because you have dates already on the calendar....I'm not your guy.

But if you're willing to be patient while I get up to speed, I think I would be able to add a lot to right band.
