SEEKING
Band to Join, Rhythm Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Piano, Dobro.ABOUT
Have been playing guitar over 50 years. That's my MAIN instrument, both electric and acoustic, flat pick and finger pick. Can also sing lead vocal and harmonize well; can work out harmony parts if needed. Can also play harmonica very well. Play multiple other instruments (fiddle, mandolin, keyboards/piano), but not the same expert level as the guitar.
FAVORITE STYLES
Like 60s rock and R&B, but also write and perform originals; have released CDs; have extensive recording experience with some session guitar experience (but I'm not really a session musician).
Also play a variety of other styles including rockabilly, country, blues, even jazz.
INSTRUMENTS
Double-neck electric guitar (12 and 6 strings) which attracts a lot of attention.
Also play acoustic guitar and have extensive performance experience with that. Can finger pick and flat pick.
Play harmonica on several songs. (Listen to "I'm a Man", below, to hear my harmonica playing.)
Play violin well, but don't have much performance experience and need to build my chops. Have been taking lessons for a few years.
Play mandolin well and have more performance experience with that. (Listen to "Norwegian Wood", below, to hear my mandolin playing.)
Play keyboards and piano well; have a moderate amount of performance experience. (Listen to "Round Midnight", below, to hear my keyboard playing.)

Influences
Favorite bands are the Beatles, Cream, early Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, various 60s bands (Dave Clark 5, Yardbirds, Birds) plus a variety of jazz guitarists. Main rock guitarist influences were Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. Later I learned a lot of Charlie Christian jazz solos. His style is a good bridge between rock n roll, blues and jazz. Buddy Holly has become an influence too, but he died when I was very young and don't relate to him the same as the 60s bands for that reason.
