ABOUT

Rock&Roll with a punk attitude 1
2nd guitar and rhythm section needed.

I beleive that you can't have a great Rock&Roll band without a solid rhythm section. End of discussion.
I write songs that are heavily reliant on that rhythm section. Or at least intended to be. While I love the pocket and we will probably spend quite a bit of time there, I have no intention of leaving you there all f&%*in' night.
I want 3 day old fish stankin' on a counter top too...
2nd guitar.. . Both guitar players will be soloing and rippin' it up as I write with a lot of room for solos. this is not just a rythm position. I write loose guitar Ideas. I would much rather write to your lines or have you re work mine so the ability to write is necessary.
Original/cover heavy emphasis on origional music. As far as style... I like cool guitar riffs and thick bass lines. I like locomotive grooves and screaming guitar solos. I like drums that open portholes to other demensions and summon the muses from their slumber. A kick that pounds in my f%&*in' gut!
Beyond that... I truly beleive that the sound finds itself when you get in the room. I stand by that. Music can not be contained or controlled. She is not ours. The magic happens when she is free to flow through her vessels.
I am not looking for people to come in and "play my songs"
I am looking for players who want to collaborate. Who want to take my "song ideas" and make them great songs together. While I do intend to write most of the lyrics, I am more than open to doing songs written by other members. I am more than cool with you singing them if you want to. I have a low & dirty voice. I sing with a lot of energy and I bleed myself onto the stage. Every. F*%$in. Time. Yes, I am intense.
I am a Frontman. I have a vision and I intend to carry it out. However...I am not "the boss" I believe everything should be 100% decided as a band. But... let's be honest... artists need direction. Trying to organize musicians is like herdin' f&*$in' cats... someone has to lead.
Unfortunately most don't understand the job of the Leader. It is not about barking orders. It is about knowing the strengths and weaknesses in your team and how to build it. It is about seeing the greatness in each player, and showcasing that in every opportunity. The frontman is the Conductor. He is the M.C. the ringmaster... Not a dictator.
Any money made in the band will go back into the band and be used for band expenses. Merch and promotional materials etc.
While it will be a while before any 'profit ' is made, I believe it all splits evenly. Songs written as a band. Get copywritten as a band.
I think practice once a week is a waste of time.
I beleive that technology and social media have made music a DIY world. I beleive that these days, how far you take it is up to you. We all know that the day of the rock star is over... but the day that you can just make a f$*&in' living as an artist is now.
I intend to play out A LOT. Local shows and weekend get aways to start.
I have plenty of songs ready to go to work. With commitment and consistency we could be out pretty quick. I am set up to record and have an engineer ready to mix and master.
I do renditions not covers. I like to find songs that we can re work the way WE play them.
I have some rough Idea tracks I can send if you are interested.
If you took the time to read all my bulls****... you should probably hit me up.
