I seek out a great production quality in my recordings and thus in performance. I like to approach a performance as the communication of the idea, played without slip ups, "the way it was written". I've forever been enthralled with bands that are able to perform songs just as they are on recording, only with greater style and dynamic, and I strive to achieve that in my own performances and expect it of each band member.

Psychedelic experiences and music. Old school
& new school. King krimson, rush, elp, gentle giant===> tool, mars volta, porcupine tree/steven wilson, smashing pumpkins, the chemical brothers, son lux, aphex twin.
Also a love of stuff like radiohead, my morning jacket, minus the bear, built to spill, NIN, etc.
And appreciation of the billion types of metal & prog metal; btbam, etc.
