We are a 3 piece pop/punk rock band. We were very active in the local scene a few years ago, decided to hang it up, and then recently decided to give it another go. We are trying to shy away from old material as we are looking to start a new. So if you are creative and can write, all the better.
I need to stress that this isn't a full time commitment. We all have full time jobs, families, etc. We practice 3 nights a week in Portland in an office building(you read that right)that we share with another band. The rent is cheap(your contribution would be $30.00 a month). Due to the fact that it is an office building we can only practice after 9:30pm. So we start at 9:30 at night on Monday and Wednesday and sometimes Saturday. There are nights where someone has to work or cant make it for other reasons so we'll take that night off every once and a while.
None of us are pros or the best or any of that. We just love to play(although our last run was decent-3 albums and a couple songs on local radio). So you dont need to be really really really good. Just know what your doing and have fun. Were all in our early 30's and hoping to find someone around the same age(28-35 ish).
Were not looking for a record deal or to go on tour or anything like that. We just wanna write some songs, play some shows and have some fun. We do want to record at some point, maybe put out an album or 2 if it ever comes to it, perhaps play some out of state shows(New England area)if the chance ever arises...but thats it.
