ABOUT

I'm looking to gig, y'all..... As much as possible...

(copy and paste that link for examples of what I do, you may catch a recording or more of my husband, he's part of my package!) There are video and audio samples here, produced in my home music/art studio with a web-based recording/mixing platform using instrumental tracks, a usb mic, and a webcam..

I've been singing for as long as I can remember. I manage a bar in Harrisonburg, VA and I sing with Keith Bryant, from the band Iron Horse, almost every friday night, for the last 3 years... I've got a voice for belting, but have tuned up my head voice and trained my break.. so I've got some dynamics, too.... I've been looking for an accompanist for a little while now, and while I'd love to accompany myself with an instrument, I've realized my voice IS my instrument, and I tend to sing with my whole body... making picking at a guitar or plucking a piano a bit of a challenge.

Influences

NOTHING from today's radio does a thing for me....I grew up on the good stuff... Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Heart, Loretta Lynn, Faith Hill, Stevie Nicks, Tammy Wynette.... Journey... so many to list.. When I'm cleaning, my music is tuned to a station based off of duos like, HoneyHoney or Shovels and Rope...Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Beth Hart... I've been really digging music by the Black Lillies, lately.. Though, they broke up...
