Greetings,Looking to form a gutter/garage/rock and roll/punk band,and/or a dark blues type 2 or 3 man band.
Have been in several old school punkl/rock and roll bands (mostly GG Allin,the dwarves and the germs meet ac/dc,the stones kinda stuff)over the years and want to do something a little different (less blood)these days..Just moved to Chicago from little rock ,Ar so my amp is still in Ar as i have no place for it in my apt out here.I sing(badly) and play guitar,and bass(also badly)i can write some pretty strong and disturbing lyrics.been playing in bands serioulsy since my first band the Destroyed formed in Oakland Ca on 2000.i have since been in several bands (most in little rock,Ar) including the Kill Crazies and STD's(still together and playing the occational gig since 2002).Looking to sing and play guitar(have never done this in a band before)in a garage rock/rock and roll band with some punk leanings mabey.kinda like the black lips,or the reatards meets the candy snatchers or the stones.I for one,am sick and tired of dealing with drug abuse,drama and juvinile sh*t.i am 43 and have no time for that sh*t.no prob with drugs/drinking,just no abusers.i want to play shows and tour.i have been in bands since 2000 and have NEVER yet toured because of being in bands with directionless losers...sad.I am used to booking and setting up shows,merch,practices...whatever.I ALWAYS show up for practices and shows (usually cuz i set them up) and i expect you to be committed.i understand if you have other bands and will work around that to A POINT.i would like our band to be foremost though as i am serious about making something special happen this time.I would like this band to be dark and brooding yet aggressive(like the stooges)yet rockin in a bluesy-ac/dc stones kinda way.the band title i came up with is SINISTER URGE.I like writing the song lyrics and am used to writing most of the music since i couldn't ever get anyone else to kick in ideas much,but i would love to have another evil genius in the band for once so...STEP UP ASSHOLES...for a sample of sh*t i have been involved in .... s://./pages/The-STDs/123061337744352?ref=hl and s://./thekillcrazies?ref=hl
