BIOGRAPHY
Troy Wilburn - a guitarist/vocalist born and raised in Texarkana, Tx., made his first appearance on the Texarkana music scene in 1991 after a reluctant audition turned in to his debut performance later on that very night. Troy continued pursuing his love for music for the next half decade, performing at area oprys and jamborees, as well as for friends and fans at parties, private gatherings, and weddings. After the birth of his second son in 1996, Troy took a much needed break in order to spend more time with his family and to solidify a newly found career. In mid 2009, Troy lost the majority of his vision to Age Related Macular Degeneration, a hereditary eye disease that would not only rob him of his sight, but also the very career he had worked so hard to achieve.

In 2012, a long time fan and friend suggested he pick up & learn his way around a guitar, and continue where he left off all those years ago, which is exactly what he did. With a little self teaching, he honed his guitar skills, brushed up on his vocals, and set out on a path that would lead him to his first band, Dyma Duzn, a place he would call home as co-lead singer and rythm guitarist for the next 18 months. Troy played his final show with the group on February 21, 2014.

Upon his departure, Troy auditioned for the Texarkana country and classic rock cover band, CrossRoads, where he was quickly embraced and would reside as their co-lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the next 15 months. His last show with CrossRoads was in May of 2015. Troy is now vocalist & rhythm guitarist for the Texas Heat, the driving force behind local country artist, Vernon Hinesley.

Over the last 5 years the Texarkana music scene, Troy has played over 230 shows across the four states area.
