Looking to get together a semi-casual, yet gigging HotJazz/Dixieland/Swing band. Old time 20-30's jazz
I'm in my late 30's and have a family- so I'm not trying to make it big. Would just like to find some like-minded musicians to get together once in a while and have some fun and play some entertaining old-timey shows. That said I do have plenty of band experience and take practicing/gigging seriously. I do believe if we were even semi-tight we could get regular gigs around NY. Everybody loves live prewar jazz.
I play many instruments (not nearly as well as you do), but that doesn't really matter because all I'd really like to do is sing and help lead the band with vision. I have a bit of a theater background and would like the shows to have a signature feel to them- which probably that means dressing up in vintage suits or something.
