Hi, I'm William, I'm 21 and I've played guitar for about 5 years. Though I always have had a love of music, messing around with pianos and acoustic guitars, it all really started around the time I was 16. One day, as I'm talking about someday playing electric guitar in a rock band, my mom comes up and says "well there's one in the back of the car ."Of course, I thought she was joking, and I actually didn't even look for nearly a week, until I asked her about it and sure enough...

Influences
Iron Maiden, Guns 'N Roses, Metallica. The three bands that not only are my favorite, but inspired me to play faster, more complex, and, of course, more often. On the more rock 'n roll side, I take great influence from Black Sabbath and AC/DC.
On the other hand, while heavy riffs and shredding solos will always be my first love, I consider nothing else to be as important as writing my own instrumental pieces. For this, I have to thank Joe Satriani especially, but also Steve Vai and, like it or not, Buckethead.
