Looking for an experienced bass player around the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas, that would be interested in covering a blend of rock, heavier rock, classic rock, and some acoustic music, as well as working on some original music to play as a separate band. Backup vocals a plus. So far, we're playing songs by bands such as Sevendust, Faith No More, Chris Daughtry, Godsmack, 3 Doors Down, Chevelle, Alice in Chains, The Melvins, Foo Fighters, an many others that are being considered. Practice is in Woodward. Currently focused on writing some music to see how that goes. Open to adding a second like minded guitarist.
Grew up in Houston, Tx. but have lived in Iowa for 15 years. Recently moved to Grimes. Formerly the lead guitarist for 6 years for the now defunct cover band Siktiket in Des Moines. Looking to make new musician friends/connections in the Grimes/Des Moines area. I am recently divorced with 4 children who visit on weekends. I work full time and just play music for fun. Interested in cover, tribute, original, and acoustic. I'm planning to do some type of original music, possibly even just some instrumental. When doing covers, I work my ass off to get everything to sound like the original recordings if possible.
